NEW SUNDAY ADULT BIBLE STUDY:
Speaking The Truth In Love To Muslims
On Sunday, September 12th from 9:15-10:15 we will begin a four part study on one of the fastest growing religions in America – Islam. We will study who is the true God, what are the beliefs and practices of Muslims and how we can share the gospel with them.
Christian Book GROUP: Do you wish you could read more books and learn more about the Christian faith? Our Christian Book group does just that. It is a group that will meet to go over chapters of different Christian books. Each meeting the members will have read the same book and chapters. At the meetings we will have open “round table talks” on what were the main points of the book; what we agreed and didn’t agree with, what new insights and so forth. The meetings will be held on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays starting on September 14th at 8:00 PM with the first chapter. The book we will be reading is Son of Hamas by Mosab Hassan Yousef, Ron Brackin. Signup sheet is in the church entryway.

MOM’S GROUP: The Mom’s Group of COR will meet again on Monday, September 20th at 6:00 PM at Panera Bread North.
OFFICE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Because our Administrative Assistant is leaving on September 15th, until the position is filled Pastor is looking for volunteers to sit in the office while he is teaching at Resurrection Tuesday & Thursday mornings from 8-9 AM. He is also looking for volunteers to be in the office when Pastor is called away during the day. A signup sheet is in the church entryway. Thank you.
The Hunt Is On! Racing against the clock… finding a list of offbeat items… solving puzzle clues. If this sounds like fun come join us for the 2010 COR Scavenger Hunt! After the hunt we will enjoy fellowship and share our hunt adventures over a taco supper. This year’s hunt will be Saturday, September 18th from 3:00PM – 6:00PM. We’re hoping the afternoon time will encourage families with younger children to participate. Babysitting will be provided for infants and younger children including board games and movies. There is a sign-up sheet in the church narthex where you can also indicate what you will bring for the supper.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT OPENING: Christ Our Rock Lutheran Church is seeking a WELS member in good standing to fill the full time position of Administrative Assistant. The person will be responsible for a variety of administrative, accounting, and clerical functions. The person will be required to interact positively with the community and specifically with members of Christ Our Rock and preschool parents and children. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM. Christ Our Rock is looking to fill this position immediately.
