6th, 7th & 8th Grade Confirmation Classes In this course Pastor takes the students from 6th - 8th grade through an in-depth study of the basic teachings of God’s Word. Students will learn how to apply these truths to their daily lives and develop the tools needed for continued study of the Bible and growth in their faith. The course also prepares the students to be communicant members. ( top of page ) |
Bible Information Class / New Member Class WHAT DOES THE LORD SAY ABOUT... – abortion, Bible, Catholicism, demons, eternity, faith, gospel, heaven & hell, inspiration, justification, killing, law, marriage, new man, occult, predestination, rebirth, sacraments, Trinity, unbelievers, visions, witchcraft, x-rated, Zen Buddhism … and a lot more! Continuing on Thursdays, at 7:30 pm, Pastor will lead you through a study of various biblical topics. This 9-lesson course is for those who wish to become a communicant member or just to learn about our church or for members who would like to review what Christ Our Rock Lutheran Church teaches and practices. Adult Sunday Bible Study
Pastor leads a Bible study between services on various books or topics of the Bible. The class applies Biblical truths and principles to every day life. Members grow in the appreciation of God's great love for us. |
Summer Family Bible Study During the summer months of June, July & August, Christ Our Rock members are studying the Old Testament book of Judges at home. Answers to questions for each week are included in the bulletin and website. Extra copies of the bible study are available in the entryway. ( top of page ) |
Online Bible Study - In the World - In the Word In The World – In The Word – Online Bible Study - The Bible tells us to be “in the world” but not “of the world”. When one looks at the news and happenings in the world, a Christian can be confused and confounded at what is happening. On Friday mornings Pastor sends out an e-mailed Bible study that looks at a current news item from a Biblical perspective. Students will look at current affairs through a series of pertinent Bible passages. Then posted on our church website, is a special discussion-board that members of this Bible study can use. Christian Book Group This group meets twice a month to discuss various books by Christian authors. The setting for this group is informal as each person shares their thoughts and ideas expressed in the various books based on Scripture. ( top of page ) |
